This weekend was spent filming me in downtown Montreal, Old Montreal as well as in my neighborhood and in my studio.
I am part of a documentary series exploring changes people have made in there lives.
In my case it was a decision to find balance in a life of manual therapist, nation-wide teacher and clinic owner.
I took refuge in drawing. I found balance yes, but also joy in my art; and finally fulfillment in being both an artist and therapist. What started off as a trickle of funny/silly cartoons for a specific community of therapists (NeuroKinetic Therapy) blossomed in to a series of anatomy based fine art pieces that sold all around the world, which quickly lead my first international art exhibition.
I am more at home in my ‘Self’ now that I can mix both of my passions. Change involves discomfort (which could make for a dramatic story), although what I’m learning from the discomfort is my ticket to living a life of fulfillment rather than seeking happiness.
